Jeff Castaldo
Owner, The Training Studio, Inc.

Jeff Castaldo is certified by the American Council on Exercise, and has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Jeff has worked in the fitness industry for over ten years with a diverse population of clients. He has developed expertise in highly specialized and demanding areas of personal training including post rehabilitation for injuries and surgeries, and worked with clients who suffer from Parkinson’s, diabetes and heart disease. Jeff has countless continuing education credits in various training modalities and is a certified Kettlebell instructor.

Jeff opened “The Training Studio, Inc.”, to offer clients a different experience when it comes to fitness training. The studio is small and private, designed for people who prefer one on one training rather than an enormous and often impersonal health club experience.
Jeff is also partners in “All Sports Conditioning”, a sport conditioning business which offers athletes optimum speed, agility, and quickness. “All Sports Conditioning” currently works with dedicated young athletes, teams, and clubs in the Tri-State area. Jeff has provided outstanding speed performance and improvements to his athletes.
Jeff loves his work, and his clients measure their great success not only by the way they look, but also by the way they feel. Jeff is legendary for his innovative techniques and the ability to inspire his clients to change their lives and their bodies through establishing and meeting their fitness goals. He has formulated extraordinary programs for his clients to lose fat, gain strength and improve functional lifestyle.

Jessica Lang

Certified by ‘National Federation of Professional Trainers’ (NFPT).
Jessica comes to us with a lifetime of fitness that has been part of who she is from a child. She knew as early as 5 years old that she has the physical spirit by beginning ballet lessons. Since that time she continued to study ballet until she was 18 years old. She stopped ballet at 18 but continued to keep her physical spirit by working out in health clubs, and other fitness facilities.
Jessica’s friends and coworkers have taken notice of Jessica’s dedication to exercise and a healthy lifestyle that maintains her great physique.
After spending 10 years as a sales administrator she decided to pursue the idea of helping others who have desired a healthy lifestyle.
She started by training friends and then doing private home sessions with woman that she worked with in the office.
She took a leap forward and began a part time career as a Personal Trainer at New York Health and Racket Club in New York City. She had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best trainers in NYC. During this time she desired to have a similar fitness setting closer to home, and found it at The Training Studio.
Its here that Jessica’s training passion started to explode, from her very first client. She discovered with a little assistance from the other trainers at the studio what a knack she had for training. The Training Studio has heard nothing but praises from her clients, and her strong work ethic has given her the skills to motivate her clients to follow her program designs and achieve the goals they desired.
Now Jessica has found herself to be “one of the best trainers”, and has many great client stories to prove it. “Building core strength and training using functional training techniques are the foundation in all of training programs that I design. I personally have always found exercise to be a form of mental therapy a wonderful healthy way to clear out my head of daily stress. I believe the benefits of exercise and feeling good priceless. When your body feels strong and healthy you just can’t help but to feel great! I understand that not everyone naturally has the drive and motivation to reach their fitness goals and I really enjoy being that voice of encouragement for all of my clients.”
“To me there is nothing more fulfilling that helping someone live a healthier happier life!”

Donna Borrell

Donna Borell has been an ACE Certified Personal Trainer since 1999. She started working in the fitness industry at Sports Club L.A. in Manhattan. She moved to Nyack in 2002 where she has built a client base at The Training Studio. Donna loves to help people and she genuinely cares about each client’s fitness needs. She has a talent for connecting with people in order to help them achieve their fitness goals as evident in the feedback we receive from her clients. Donna works me hard and, I have seen great success. With her help and perseverance, I have gained strength, loss of weight and improved my golf game. We work on specific weight training and exercises to benefit my game that she has programmed just for me personally. I feel more confidence in myself and more athletic than I have felt in years. Donna will even call me and say, "let's go for a fast walk." Next summer we are going to also spend some time working out in the pool. These are only some of the benefits. I have also lost four notches in my belt buckle and have loads more energy! Ejane Mac Cartney,
Donna is a motivator and is always looking to challenge her clients. This year Donna created a Weight Loss Challenge Program at The Training Studio. Most of her clients were excited to participate in this challenge and all have achieved their weight loss goals. Donna has a comprehensive knowledge of Traditional Weight Training, Core Strength, Functional, Aquatic and Golf Specific Training.

David Farand

is a certified National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) personal trainer and functional training specialist. He has been training clients for 5 years and has been a dedicated training enthusiast for over 25.
David feels passionately that “you are only as strong as your weakest link”. “Working with active adults, seniors, and ‘midlife converts’, I seek to establish a solid foundation upon which my clients’ can seriously strive to reach their personal goals. Core strength, stability, balance, and posture are the cornerstone of my training philosophy and technique. Remember, life is inherently unstable and multi-dimensional therefore your training should mirror life and how you intend to live it as well as prepare you for the inevitable twists and turns it sends your way.”
After earning an undergraduate degree in psychology and masters from Columbia University David worked as organizational consultant and spent many years as a country club manager. David’s mid-life decision to become a trainer found its genesis in his sincere desire to change the quality of his daily life while having a similar tangible impact on others’ lives as well. It didn’t take long for David and his clients to realize what a unique and untapped talent he possessed as a personal trainer. He has a real eye for assessing and improving clients’ core and core conditioning and in so doing enabling them to reach for their ultimate goals and potential.
David has made a mark in Westchester as one of the most sought after trainers in the Ardsley, Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, and Hastings area. David lives in Nyack (Upper Grandview) so he concludes his day by training select clients at The Training Studio in the early, mid and late afternoons. David has really committed himself to personal training, and has created some of the most dynamic and innovative core programs, aerobic circuits, and strength & conditioning routines we have seen at the studio.
